My Name is Debbie Harris and I am Clerk to the Board in Davidson County, North Carolina.
The County has gone paperless in 2011 by using Adobe to build agendas, but our Board was interested in a product that would allow electronic voting; thus started the search process.
A group of County staff conducted a very thorough search of agenda software products in 2013, and we ultimately chose Agenda.NET by PROVOX as our agenda solution. It not only contained all of the features we were looking for in a solution, but was the most cost-effective option in the process.
PROVOX staff was able to customize the look and feel of our agendas and minutes to mimic what we had used in the past. Implementation of the software has greatly reduced the time spent putting the agenda together, and has made minute generation effortless; in using Agenda.NET, we have literally cut our agenda prep and post work in half.
We have found the software to be very user-friendly, and the PROVOX staff is extremly responsive should issues arise.
We use the agenda and minute builder, along with the electronic voting module, which allows us to display votes in real-time. The Board of Commisssioners has found the solution very easy to navigate and use. The web portal makes use of the software very user friendly for the public and has made Davidson County's meeting process much more transparent.
